We were sad to say goodbye to Sophia in Dec 2022.  Sophia was a regal and gentle soul. She was 14 years old when she passed, which is fairly old for a sheep.  She had been a part of a 4-H program and had originally lived on the property long before Rosie’s Farm Sanctuary.  Sophia and her daughter Penny, who still lives with us, were inseparable. Sophia was blind for the last years of her life, but that didn’t stop her from grazing everywhere she could. If she ever got lost or stuck, she would call out for Penny to come help her.  Their bond was profound and undeniable.  We will always miss you sweet Sophia.
