Lucille is a sweet-natured girl who does not respect personal boundaries or space.  She demands to be loved, rubbed, scratched, and fed constantly.  If Lucille sees us giving attention to any of the other pigs, she immediately comes over and pushes her way into the mix. It’s all about Lucille!  She makes the cutest sounds when she wants attention.  Lucille had a partner named “Ricky”, who is sadly still running wild in the Outerbanks.  We are working with animal control to try and capture him.

Lucille is part of the “Beach Bum” crew.  She had been running around wild on the beaches in the Outerbanks, in North Carolina.  We think she was probably dumped at the beach. Often people drop off farmed pigs in areas where there are wild boar, in hopes that they will mate and multiply. They then hunt the pigs for sport.  We knew we needed to rescue Coco and the “Beach Bums” before they started having babies and medical problems.
