LEAP AT ROSIE’S
What is the LEAP Program?
LEAP (Leaders for Ethics, Animals, and the Planet) is a revolutionary humane education program providing high school students with a compassionate alternative to traditional agriculture programs like 4H and FFA. A comprehensive curriculum and hands-on workshops taught by participating farm animal sanctuaries, LEAP combines interactive classroom curriculum modules with outdoor learning activities, leadership training, real-world skill development, and community involvement.
LEAP at Rosie’s School Year Details
From September through May on the second Sunday of every month, students will meet at Rosie’s Farm Sanctuary to care for our rescued animals, assist with infrastructure projects, and participate in a humane education curriculum, all culminating in a community-based project related to the rescued animals. LEAP interns are also welcome to volunteer at special events at the sanctuary or for other service projects of their choosing.
For the 2025-2026 school year we are offering LEAP 1 for students new to the program as well as LEAP 2 for those who are returning from last year’s program.
