Nestled in a neighborhood just outside Washington, D.C., Rosie’s Farm Sanctuary is a place where rescue meets connection. Here, farmed animals once exploited find safety, healing, and joy—and people discover that everyone is someone, no matter their species.

Founded with a vision to inspire compassion, Rosie’s brings this mission to life through vibrant Humane Education programs that invite visitors to see animals as individuals with unique personalities, intelligence, and the capacity for love.

Our five-acre sanctuary in Potomac, Maryland was intentionally created in a residential community so thousands of students, families, and neighbors can easily engage. Each year, field trips, tours, internships, and volunteer days spark empathy, inspire lifestyle shifts, and send ripples of kindness far beyond our fences.

Rosie’s is more than a sanctuary—it’s a gathering place where kindness grows, community thrives, and a more compassionate world begins to take root.
