Maggie was given to us by a lamb farmer when she became paralyzed during the final stages of a pregnancy and was unable to walk or nurse her babies. We picked her up with her 2 day old lambs and took them all to University of Penn’s New Bolton Animal Hospital, where they stayed for two weeks. Maggie received treatment and physical therapy while there and was able to regain her ability to walk. It was such a joy to bring Maggie and her babies to Rosie’s Farm Sanctuary. She was very hesitant about us at first, but has grown to be comfortable and secure. Her babies, Machu and Picchu, are the first babies that she has been able to raise.
